Use YouTube as a professional resource
March
YouTube can be an excellent source of information for professional development. As with many social media sites good ideas can snowball using the 'suggested' or 'next videos' links. Subscribing to channels is a good way to focus your research and allows you to set up notifications to future videos and talks if you wish to.

When on the site the following tips may be useful for you:
1. You can 'subscribe' to channels. Do do so click 'subscribe under a video you are watching, that links to someones channel. You can also click the bell next to it if you wish to get notifications about new emails from that channel.
To manage your subscriptions click 'subscriptions' on the left?

2. If you click 'manage' you can see which sites you are subscribed to and turn on/off notifications. This home page of subscriptions is a good way of focusing videos you have chosen to see.

An example of that is shown here for the 'Meldrum supports' page we have.
